Badcock Home Furniture &more closing nearly 400 stores after 100+ years of business


Badcock Home Furniture &more is closing down here in Lynchburg.

According to CNN, the furniture store’s parent company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Tuesday, July 23.

Every single one of the nearly 400 locations nationwide are clearing out their stores.

They expect to close permanently in the next few months.

Christine Eubank from Amherst took a trip to Badcock after hearing the news.

“I’m looking for a whole house of furniture. Bedroom furniture, living room furniture. I have three bedrooms I need to buy furniture for,” Eubank said.

There are a lot of deals right now as Badcock works to offload its inventory.

According to the company’s website, all merchandise is now on sale for up to 50 percent off, appliances are up to 30 percent off and electronics are up to 40 percent off.
