MILLERSBURG, Ohio – Amish furniture manufacturer Millcraft can now ship solid cherry bedroom furniture in three days as part of a new quick-ship program. Out of the 29 bedroom collections built by Millcraft, just one is offered for the program: Williamsport.
“It’s our best-selling collection because it’s so universal,” said Ruth Wagler, in-house sales manager. “The case pieces don’t have a face frame, and I think that makes for a clean look. It can look both rustic and modern, and it appeals to both young and older buyers.”
The collection is also the company’s least expensive, with a four-piece set (queen bed, dresser, mirror and nightstand) retailing for around $4,995. It’s offered in various wood species, but just cherry for quick-ship. Buyers can choose from one of more than 100 finishes.
Standard features on all Millcraft items include dovetailed corners on drawer boxes, 1/2-inch-thick drawer bottoms, same wood species on drawer boxes, beveled glass mirrors and soft-close under mount drawer slides. Each piece is also signed and dated by the craftsmen who made it.
Last year, Millcraft moved into a new manufacturing space, increasing its square footage by 7,000 to a total of 20,000. From raw lumber to the finished product, everything is assembled under one roof. All items are built by hand and without the use of CNC routers.
